Artist's Statement:
"I make art to reflect upon places of interest in everyday life and travels. I work with soft pastels, oil paints, watercolors and ink pens. I use these mediums to capture mostly landscapes and architecture. When utilizing various mediums, I can depict a scene in different ways. For example, I can create a "painterly" interpretation of a place using pastels or oils to describe the temperature, time of day, movement in the surroundings and even emotions from the experience of being there. I tend to use a more illustrative approach with drawing mediums such as ink or watercolors to describe accurate or imaginary details in a scene."
